1.What SMARTERPICKS Is
We publish daily betting analysis and picks across major US sports. Each pick comes with reasoning, an odds reference, and a stake size. Results are scored against final game data and posted publicly.
That's it. We are not your accountant, broker, or financial advisor. We do not take wagers, hold money, or guarantee outcomes.
2.What "Track Record" Actually Means
Our public log shows every pick we've made since launch and every result. We post the losses too — they're a real part of any honest record. Past performance is not a predictor of future performance. A long winning streak is followed by losing days. A profitable month is followed by a losing month. That's variance, and it's normal.
If you see a sports betting service claiming 70%+ win rates over hundreds of plays, they are either lying or showing you a cherry-picked subset. Realistic long-term edge in major-market sports betting is in the 53–58% range.
3.You Are Responsible For Your Bets
What you do with our analysis is entirely up to you. We do not see what you bet, where you bet it, or for how much. Every bet you place is your decision and your responsibility. If you lose, that loss is yours; if you win, that win is yours.
- Don't bet money you can't afford to lose.
- Don't borrow to bet.
- Don't chase losses by sizing up.
- Set a bankroll, set unit sizes, stick to both.
4.Eligibility & Legality
You must be at least 21 years old and reside in a jurisdiction where receiving sports betting analysis is legal. Sports betting itself is legal in some US states and not others — checking what's legal where you live is on you. We do not solicit bets from anyone in jurisdictions where doing so is unlawful.
5.If You Or Someone You Know Has a Gambling Problem
Gambling addiction is real and treatable. If betting is no longer fun, if you're chasing losses, hiding wagers, missing bills, or feeling out of control — please reach out for help. There is no shame in it, and the resources below are confidential and free.
Most licensed sportsbooks also offer deposit limits, time-out periods, and self-exclusion tools directly inside their apps. They work — use them if you need them.
6.No Affiliate Bias In Our Picks
We are not currently part of any sportsbook's affiliate program. The sportsbook we cite for any given pick is the one offering the best line we found at publish time — not the one paying us a referral fee.
